My name is Gyöngyvér Árkocsovicsné Martinák, and I began my career 34 years ago in the neonatal department of Szent Margit Hospital. Since then, I have carried out my work with the same dedication and passion as when I first chose this profession.

In 1996, I was assigned to the newly established PIC II unit, where I cared for premature infants and newborns requiring intensive care. In 2019, I joined the neonatal and premature infant department of Péterfy Hospital. During my time there, I gained extensive experience and was mentored by a lactation consultant physician, which strengthened my commitment to supporting breastfeeding. Since then, promoting and assisting breastfeeding has become a true priority for me, and I strive to help as many mothers as possible succeed in this area.

To further develop my expertise, I completed a 40-hour course in Modern Breastfeeding Knowledge in 2021, allowing me to provide even more confident and professional support to mothers. I have also continuously participated in hospital training programs, gaining experience in delivery room care for newborns and, when necessary, in intensive neonatal care.

Since May 2024, I have been working as a neonatal nurse at Duna Medical Center. I approach my work with precision, responsibility, and dedication, and I am always eager to share my knowledge and experience with parents. My goal is to ensure that mothers—and fathers—leave the hospital feeling confident and well-prepared as they begin life at home with their newborn.

For me, the safety, comfort, and emotional support of both babies and new mothers are always the top priorities. I believe that every baby and every family is unique, which is why I approach my work with patience, attentiveness, and empathy.
