  • mother's residential address card, TAJ card, identity card;

4. What should be done with the declarations of consent received at the time of signing the contract?

We provide a declaration of consent:

  • for an anesthesiology examination , which we ask you to sign and return to szuleszet@dunamedical.com In certain cases, the anesthesiologist may decide based on the consent form that a personal examination is necessary, in which case we will make an appointment with you. In case of a planned caesarean section, a personal examination is mandatory.
  • to perform a caesarean section , which we ask you to sign and bring to the CTG examination or to the delivery. The consent form for caesarean section must be signed in advance even if we are preparing for a natural birth, as urgent surgery may be necessary due to maternal or fetal reasons, and in such an unexpected situation it must be read and signed in an instant. When signing/filling in, it is important not to write a date.
  • for labor guidance in the case of a natural birth , which we ask you to sign and bring to the CTG or to the birth. When signing/filling in, it is important not to write a date on it.

In addition to the above, we provide information on the process of registration, which you only need to read, not sign. It is important to keep this document until the birth, as the registrar's contact information can be found on it.

5. If I want to choose a doctor or midwife, what should I do and how can I contact them?

A short text and photo introduction of our specialists - doctors and midwives - can be found on our website.

In case of choosing a doctor , please indicate the name of the chosen doctor at the e-mail address szuleszet@dunamedical.com . If the doctor in question does not provide pregnancy care at our institution, our staff member will give you his contact information, where you can sign up for a consultation, where they can personally discuss whether you can undertake the delivery. It is worth spending at least 3-4 appointments with your chosen doctor before giving birth.

If you want to give birth with a midwife of your choice , please contact her. The personal Duna Medical Center e-mail addresses of all midwives can be found on our website, so you can directly discuss with a midwife you like about whether they can undertake your delivery based on the expected date of the child's arrival.

It is worth marking 3 midwives in the order of sympathy, so that we can speed up the selection of the midwife in case of possible availability.

If you go to the Duna Medical Center for prenatal care, please write down the name of your attending physician and the announced date of delivery, as well as the number of births you are about to give birth to.

The chosen doctor and midwife must be finalized before the contract is signed, because their names will be included in the contract.

6. The Basic package does not include the 38-week CTG examination. Regardless of this, is it possible to use this service in DMC?

Yes, it can be used for HUF 36,000 per occasion, which includes the urine test and blood pressure measurement.

7. If I choose the Basic package, can I still give birth safely in the hospital?

All three of our maternity packages include the services necessary to support a safe and harmonious birth.

Our advanced packages emphasize a wider range of personal needs and include the option of choosing a doctor and midwife.

8. What should I do if my pregnancy is not cared for at the Duna Medical Center, but I want to sign a contract for a maternity package?

In this case, we ask that you come to us at the 36th week of pregnancy for a so-called maternity leave, during which your preliminary findings will be discussed with one of the leading specialists of our obstetrics department, an examination will be carried out and the manner in which the newborn will be born will be discussed. You can make an appointment with Dr. Géza Gerencsér or Dr. Tamás Bőze by calling 70/332-1594 or 1/790-7080. The fee for the specialist consultation is HUF 38,000, which is not included in our maternity packages.

This preliminary examination and maternity leave are therefore necessary if the mother is not taking care of her pregnancy with a doctor who works at the DMC or has a contract with the DMC.

9. How is payment made and how can it be paid? Can the account be canceled?

We have prepared a separate information document on payment terms and methods, which is available at this link .

10. What happens to the amount paid under the maternity contract in the event that the birth does not take place at the Duna Medical Center through no fault of my own? (e.g. we don't get there in time, the ambulance doctor won't let us get there)

In this case, the fee for the delivery and post-delivery services will be refunded, and in the case of a premature birth - i.e. birth before the 36th week - the price of the entire package will be refunded.

15. Is natural, undisturbed childbirth supported in the DMC? How do they approach childbirth? What is their opinion about free position selection and natural pain relief?

In the practice of our obstetrics, we prioritize natural and undisturbed childbirth, in which doctors and midwives are full partners. At the same time, with our state-of-the-art surgical equipment and specialized personnel, we are also prepared for obstetric surgical interventions, whether planned or urgent, arising during the birth process, that become necessary for the safety of women in labor and the unborn child. We consider it important to provide our patients not only with safe health care, but also with easy-to-understand information and spiritual support that establishes their sense of security.

If labor does not start on the scheduled date, and the condition of the mother and the fetus is adequate, so there is no medical reason for labor to begin, then we wait until the 41st week for spontaneous labor or initiation.

Our specialists support all types of positions during labor and delivery within the limits of reason and professionalism. Natural pain relief is also available in our institution, such as a hot water bath, music, aromatherapy, essential oils, vaporizer, ribbed wall, hot water poultice, labor chair and ball.

16. Is it possible to give birth in a bathtub? Is barrier protection possible in this case?

Yes, if the doctor deems it safe.

18. If I want to give birth to my child by caesarean section because I don't want to experience the pain of labor, is this possible for you?

In our institution, you can give birth by caesarean section if there is a medical indication for it. Of course, if a factor arises during vaginal birth or labor that necessitates an urgent caesarean section, the operation will take place immediately.

19. Can the newborn be in the room with me during my stay?

Yes of course. In our institution, the latest professional principles are also the guiding principles during the care of the newborn. Accordingly, we prefer the principle of zero separation, naturally taking into account the current condition and needs of you and your child.

20. Can they guarantee the family room if we have already paid, but there are a lot of expectant mothers in the department?

Yes.

21. Is there a chance that we have already concluded the contract and will still be rejected at the time of delivery because the house is full?

No, the hospital does not turn away mothers who come with a signed contract, we are prepared for full periods.

22. What should be done in case of stem cell collection?

Please notify us in advance of your request for stem cell collection, e.g. during the 38-week CTG, or if the CTG is not performed here, then upon arrival at the birth. If you have already signed a contract with the stem cell bank, you only need to bring the box or package provided by the bank, we will do the rest free of charge. If they did not contract in advance, they can choose from the stem cell banks contracted with DMC based on the conditions provided by the given institution.

23. How does registration work for you?

Point 3 contains which documents we ask you to send by e-mail in advance or to bring to the conclusion of the contract. Based on these, our nurse will start the birth registration, and she will discuss this with you after the birth.

Those with a rural address will receive the issued documents by post, while those from Budapest must go to the Bakáts tér office to collect them. The preparation time for the documents is 10 working days, inquiries can be made by telephone at the office. For this, we will personally provide contact information and information material.

The Registry Office issues the tax card, residential address card and TAJ card, as well as the birth certificate. The parents will have to issue the identity card for the newborn at a government window.
