Introduction:

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Debrecen in October 2000. My specialist examination in Trauma and Orthopaedics toook place in Szeged, in 2008. Following this I accomplished a Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at the Nottingham Shoulder and Elbow Unit (3 years). In 2023 I passed the specialist examination in hand surgery, following which I worked at Consultant level at The Sheffield Hand Centre, for over a year. I was part of the team which intoduced total ankle replacement in Hungary, with the help of Prof Böhler in Linz, Austria. My professional activities cover the whole of the upper limb and the ankle joint.

During my placement in Nottingham, besides clinical activities, I worked as a teaching fellow for undergraduate students. My research projects focused on improving total shoulder replacement implants and techniques. My PhD degree was also awarded by the University of Nottingham. I was also involved in the acromioclavicular joint stabilization project of the unit and brought home a successful stabilization method to Hungary which is now gaining popularity.

As a Consultant at the Department of orthopeadics at Semmelweis University (2014-2025) I was in charge of udergraduate teaching for 3 years. I participated in the introduction the "block" teaching model to the department, and was responsible for the introduction and operation of online teaching during the COVID period. I have been a regular participant in postgraduate and continuing education courses as an instructor. I am currently supervising the research of two PhD students, one at Semmelweis University and the other at the Catholic University of Leuven.

My surgical repertoire covers the whole spectrum of shoulder surgery, including open and arthroscopic procedures. These include, for example, stabilization of posttraumatic shoulder instability, decompression procedures for impingement syndrome, reconstructions of the internal tendon structure of the shoulder, AC joint dislocation and chronic instability, sternoclavicular problems and biceps pathologies. I also have considerable experience in the treatment of traumatic shoulder abnormalities, including shoulder girdle fracture fixation, management of acute and chronic ligamentous injuries and restoration of joint function following trauma sequelae.
As for the elbow I do both open and arthroscopic procedures. Besides total and partial elbow replacements I also do joint preserving resurfacing arthroplasty. Ligament reconstructions for chronic elbow instability is also part of my armament. Arthroscopic procedures include tennis elbow procedures, plica resection surgery, osteochondral defects, release of stiffness, loose body removal, excision of bonespurs, etc.

My ars poetics (after Churchill) is short: My tastes are simple: I am easily satisfied with the best.

We accept patients from the age of 16.
