Introduction, curriculum vitae

I believe that healing is not only about treating physical symptoms, but also about understanding the whole person. In my work, I strive to achieve true and lasting recovery together with my patients through precise diagnosis and personalised treatment.

Curiosity has driven me since childhood: I always wanted to understand how things worked and constantly asked “why” and “how”. This strong inner motivation, combined with perseverance, led me to dedicate my life to medicine. At the age of sixteen, I decided that my curiosity, creativity, and inner strength would be best used to help patients heal.

I studied medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mureș, where I soon realised that orthopaedics and traumatology were my true path. This speciality requires a combination of precise manual skills, spatial vision, quick decision-making, and creative problem-solving, all in a dynamic environment where I felt at home from the beginning.

For 13 years, I worked in Germany, performing high-standard procedures in both orthopaedics and traumatology. I became a board-certified specialist in 2018, and in 2019, I was appointed chief physician. I spent 11 of those years in the same hospital, six of them as chief physician.

Currently, I treat a wide range of orthopaedic and trauma cases. Daily, I perform hip and knee replacements using minimally invasive, muscle-sparing techniques, arthroscopic knee surgeries, medial unicompartmental knee replacements, and various foot operations (such as hallux valgus correction or hammer toe surgery). In traumatology, I treat the full spectrum of adult limb injuries, including the most complex intra-articular fractures, from small joints of the hand to the calcaneus, hip, shoulder, or elbow.

As a surgeon, I have also contributed to the development of several specialised instruments designed to facilitate complex, high-energy fracture surgeries. I was actively involved in the creation of four different prototypes.

In patient care, I consider empathy, mutual respect, and clear communication essential. During consultations, I always take time to listen carefully to the patient’s complaints, perform the necessary examinations, and then discuss the diagnosis and treatment options together – a patient-centred approach I practised for many years in Germany as well.

In my free time, I enjoy DIY projects, cycling, and, above all, spending time with my family – these moments recharge me and allow me to dedicate my full attention to my patients every day.

For me, the greatest professional reward is when a patient who was once limited by pain can walk, exercise, smile, and once again enjoy the freedom of movement after treatment. That is why I chose this profession.
