Introduction, curriculum vitae

I graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 2010, I received my Diploma in General Medicine Summa cum Laude, my thesis was on the epidemiology of infections in orthopaedic large joint prostheses. The University gave me a strong theoretical foundation, but I wanted to get into the thick of practical work as soon as possible, so after graduation I tried to learn the basics in emergency department, general surgery department and ambulatory surgery practice placements before my specialist training. During this period, I obtained a European teaching licence in advanced resuscitation (ERC GIC). This was not common practice at the time, but nowadays the training system is structured in a similar way to the Western model for the post-graduate years. I completed my residency training in ophthalmology, with a predominance in orbital and periocular surgery - here, in this sensitive and specialised area, reconstructive and aesthetic procedures were performed.

To combat hospital-acquired infections, I was given a special invitation from the private sector - with the proviso that my involvement was limited in time, as I wanted to return to practising medicine anyway - to co-found a private healthcare company, exclusively marketing high-efficiency Hospital Air Disinfection Systems. The business has been a success, with patients being cared for with these devices in operating blocks and intensive care units across the country. Afterwards, I completed my training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Trauma and Orthopedic Department of Salgótarján County Hospital and partner institutions such as the National Trauma Institute, Uzsoki Street Hospital, National Spine Surgery Center, and in 2021 I successfully passed the Specialist Examination in Orthopedics and Traumatology with excellent results.

I stayed on as a specialist for one more year after my training, and my workplace awarded me the Dr. Károly Noskó Memorial Prize for my professional work and my attitude towards patients.

Since 2022, I have been working as a contractor in a progressive I traumatology department of a city hospital, where I have an emergency department, a trauma department, an orthopaedics department, a trauma department and a progressive I trauma surgery portfolio.
