Introduction, curriculum vitae

I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Semmelweis University in 1988. After graduation, I worked at the Baross Street Women's Clinic in Budapest, and became a certified obstetrician-gynecologist in 1992. From the early 1990s, it became possible to treat menopausal syndrome with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in Hungary. Since then, I have been involved in the scientific field of Menopausal Medicine. I have been heading the Menopause Clinic at the Women's Clinic since 1993. I defended my PhD degree in this subject in 2011. In 2014, I was appointed as the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Péterfy Sándor Street Hospital in Budapest. From January 2024, I will be leading the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Szent Imre University Teaching Hospital. I have been a board member of the Hungarian Menopause Society since 1995, and since October 2023, I have been serving as the President of the Society.

I pay special attention to the exploration and resolution of menstrual disorders, particularly focusing on alleviating menopausal symptoms. An important part of my profession involves conducting general gynecological screening examinations such as cancer screening, HPV, STD, microbiological screenings, examination and treatment of cervical lesions.

I also place a great emphasis on prenatal care, ultrasound examinations, monitoring breast health, diagnosing and treating fibroids, conducting fertility tests, and addressing infertility issues.
