Introduction, curriculum vitae

As a little girl, I already knew that I wanted to work with children. I was 8 years old when my younger sister was born, and through caring for her I was able to experience what it was like to look after a baby. Even then, I acted like a little mother toward her — feeding her, changing her diapers, and bathing her.

After primary school, I chose to pursue a career in healthcare. My mother works as a nurse in a Trauma Department, so she is well aware of both the advantages and challenges of our profession. Because of this, she was not initially happy about the career path I had chosen. After finishing secondary school, I trained as a Pediatric and Infant Nurse. During my studies, I completed my clinical practice at the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, where I became familiar with various departments and medical conditions.

During my Pediatric and Infant Nursing training, I was introduced to the world of children with heart disease. I became a healthcare professional at the Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit of the Gottsegen György National Cardiovascular Institute. I initially started working there as a nursing assistant and later as a qualified pediatric nurse. In 2020, I also completed my Pediatric Intensive Care Specialist Nurse qualification.

Empathy and effective communication are extremely important in my work. I always say that we should treat others the way we would like to be treated ourselves. From the very first moment, I was captivated by the world of pediatric intensive care. I love the constant energy and activity that surrounds it. At the same time, it also feels good to occasionally find peace and emotional balance. That is one of the reasons why I chose to work in newborn care as well — it allows my soul to rest.

The magical world of newborns is where I can recover from the challenges of everyday life and recharge with energy. This is the place where two people become parents. It is a wonderful feeling to share part of my knowledge with new parents and witness the moment they truly become a family.
