Orsolya Freisták
My interest in health care developed as a child. During the game, I was constantly the "aunty doctor" and healed all my babies to the best of my ability.
When I was in the 3rd grade, in drawing class I had to draw a picture of who would like to receive a present for Christmas. Everyone drew the latest toys - Barbie dolls, remote control cars. My drawing was of a baby boy in a blue swaddling, my gift arrived shortly after Christmas.
I grew up in a large family, so I had the opportunity to be constantly involved in the care of my brothers and cousins. In addition, I was a babysitter for ten years during my school and university years, so during this time I was also actively involved in babysitting and caring for small children of different ages.
I completed my studies at Semmelweis University Faculty of Health Sciences in Budapest.
I worked in private healthcare as an infertility assistant, where I helped the process of becoming a family with reproductive procedures. The occasions of pregnancy ultrasounds always provided good feedback on the effectiveness of our invested work. The best moments were when the moms brought their babies in to show us.
As a hospital nurse, I help prepare for childbirth, care for newborns and support breastfeeding. My goal is for all mothers and their children to prepare for the care of their newborn during the days spent here and to return home satisfied and with beautiful memories.
