Liv Duna Medical Center is launching a unique programme, an infant first aid course, to help parents during one of the most important times of parenthood.

In the last four years, more than 4,000 babies have been born in the centre, which supports families from pregnancy to paediatric care on demand.

Infant first aid course: learn to save lives

What should you do if your breathing monitor goes off or your baby suddenly stops breathing? These moments can mean life - the right knowledge is vital. Liv Duna Medical Center's Infant First Aid course provides this for parents and caregivers.

Course topics:

  • Recognising life-threatening conditions, calling for an ambulance
  • Infant resuscitation (ventilation, chest compressions)
  • Correct positioning of the baby
  • Preventing falls and falls from heights
  • Situational training with real-life dolls

The professional leader of the programme: Dr. Erika Bodnár, paediatrician. The educational materials will be available in PPT and online formats.
