Briefly about the hernia:

A hernia is a common lesion. If it doesn't cause a complaint, we can even wait to solve it. However, it is worth keeping in mind that over time, the hernia may grow, cause complaints, and cause the development of additional diseases. In such cases, the surgical solution may be more risky or complicated.

At the Duna Medical Center, hernia operations are performed under anesthesia, spinal or - if necessary - local anesthesia. Anesthesia or spinal anesthesia is always supplemented with local anesthesia of the surgical area, which significantly reduces postoperative pain. This way, we can send most of our patients home on the day of surgery. We primarily use the laparoscopic technique, if this is not possible, we operate on the hernia using a traditional method. For surgeries, we can use polyester or polypropylene macroporous nets, as well as partially or fully absorbable nets, in a customized design. It is important that we can choose a surgical technique and a matching mesh depending on the shape and lesion.

The pre-surgery check-up can be done here locally, at our institution, and even in one day. Surgeries are performed in the new, state-of-the-art operating theater complex of the Duna Medical Center.

Conditions of the promotion:

• Our patients have to pay the fee for the surgical specialist consultation, and we will deduct this amount from the price of the operation.
• If the operation cannot be performed based on the results of the preliminary specialist examination or the pre-operative examination, the price of the examination will not be refunded.
• If, for some reason, the length of the hospital stay after the operation exceeds the usual duration included in the surgical offer, the additional cost will be reimbursed.
• The surgery must be performed by November 30, 2022.
