New screening package for smokers
Certain changes are more likely to occur in smokers. These are primarily the narrowing and loss of elasticity of blood vessels, lung cancer, chronic inflammation of the bronchi, and the appearance of other tumors, such as bladder cancer. The purpose of our filter package is the quick and early recognition of these changes. An ultrasound examination of the neck veins can determine the general condition of the vascular system, the degree of vascular occlusion, e.g. risk of heart attack or stroke. Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound scans map the state of internal organs, including the kidneys and bladder. The chest CT examination without contrast material, with low radiation dose, can show lung changes and possible tumors with high accuracy, already at an early stage.
The screening package includes the measurement of oxygen saturation, which also gives an idea of the oxygen absorption capacity of the lungs based on the oxygen level in the blood. Based on the questionnaire survey of smoking habits and the evaluation of the test results, we provide a written medical opinion on whether any changes in the body can be detected that require further, even more targeted examination or medical treatment.
